Arctopia: A puzzle game for iPad and iPhone
Arctopia is a free puzzle game for iPad and iPhone. I wrote it for the very first iPhone and have updated it for iOS 11 and later.
Assets are retina-display enabled and in native resolution for both iPhone and iPad.
here on the iOS App Store / iTunes Store
It’s totally free.
No in-app purchases.
Level solutions (on GameFaqs)
are also available.
It’s an Objective-C program that makes direct use of OpenGL.
Since I wrote it before cross-platform frameworks were available for the iPhone, it unfortunately isn’t straightforward to port to Android.

Another example screenshot of Arctopia, this time running on the iPad.
The original level design spreadsheet is
available here in
(59 KB, LibreOffice spreadsheet)
Arctopia level layouts can also be
machine-readable format here
(145 KB, XML Apple Property List format)
Level design was done by filling out colored cells, using LibreOffice as a level editor. This spreadsheet screenshot shows the same "Tumbler Lock" level visible in the screenshot above.
